About Tilly

Tilly's story is filled with a lot of love and a bit of sadness. We were overjoyed to make her a part of our family 4 years ago when she was just 10 weeks old. Tilly is a purebred and registered soft coated wheaton terrier and a furry ball of fun. She loves to run, go for walks, chase balls and give kisses. She came into our family when we were in desperate need for love, and she brought it to all of us. Sadly, life doesn't always go as planned. At two years old, she was attacked by a rottweiler that ran into our house. Ever since, she's suffered from ptsd. Loud noises and even rambunctious kids stress her out. Adding to that, her 'I'm the boss' attitude has put her on defense of any dog, big or little, which has gotten her into a bit of trouble--and she was attacked by a larger dog, twice more. Tilly is spunky, high energy, and a lot of fun, but she needs someone who can give her the time, energy, and TLC that she desperately needs. Our family, with lively kids--and a growing great dane-- is just too much for her. We will miss her so terribly, but she needs a home where she can flourish. She needs a family, preferably with no small children and no other pets, cat or dog (or other). She'll need space to be active and since she can jump high and squeeze into small places, a secure tall fence is a must. (She's prone to run away also.) She's had training, but regular training and practice would be good for her. Tilly is currently on Prozac because of the severity of her anxiety and ptsd, but perhaps a quiet, loving home with few things to disrupt her, she might be able to be weaned off of it and glow inn her sweet, people-loving nature.
