About Annie Oakley

Domestic Cat
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Female

Annie Oakley has a rather sad story to tell if you listen to her - somehow or another she and her babies ended up at a kill shelter, who then transferred her little family to the Humane Society. The Humane Society adopted out all of her babies and then placed dear, sweet Annie Oakley on their euthanasia list because she wasn't being a cheerful, happy-go-lucky cat. Well, can you blame her? We knew we couldn't let this young momma die senselessly so once again, we stepped in for the save. Annie is definitely not the 'rush to meet you at the door' type of cat, but that does not make her unadoptable. Annie is very quiet and reserved, accepting of human touch and love, but not one to seek it out - at least not yet. We know this brave momma has had some heartache and she just needs time and patience from the right adopter - with an abundance of love and home to call her own, she will flourish. Please don't look the other way when you see her - listen to her tell her story, look her in the eye and see if maybe, just maybe, you might be the one to give her what she needs - unconditional love.
