About Chloe

Adoption Fee: $100
Great Pyrenees
Age: Adult
Sex: Female

Adoption Pending Meet Chloe Cloe is a gorgeous five year old Great Pyrenees. She was owner surrendered on October 30, 2018 when her family downsized and there was no room for Chloe. Chloe has no idea what's happened to her and she's completely terrified at the shelter. Being a stoic and gentle dog, Chloe spends a lot of time curled up, hoping against hope that she'll wake up and this will all have been a bad dream. Unfortunately, the only thing that will change Chloe's plight is if she can find a loving forever family to take her away and make her theirs. Day-by-day, Chloe tentatively comes out of her shell with the help of a loving volunteer who walks her, brushes her and spends as much time as she can loving on her, letting her know life will get better. Chloe walks well on a leash and she allows her gorgeous fur to be brushed and her nails trimmed. Chloe is shy with people, until she gets to know them, she ignores cats and she's shown she does not do well with other dogs. As a purebred GP, Chloe is considered a guardian dog and has been bred to 'watch over' her people and charges. Chloe takes this job seriously and other dogs seem to bring out her instinct to protect her people, which we found out the hard way. You see Chloe was recently adopted into a loving home, but she was returned reluctantly, and for the best, when she started protecting her new person from the other dogs in the house. Her new owner even worked with a trainer, but the situation was not viable and back to the shelter she came. Chloe will need to be an only dog. We're unsure if she's house-trained, but given how smart and how much she wants to please, we expect with a little training and positive interaction she'll catch on quickly. Chloe once had heartworms, but they've been treated and she's recently tested heartworm negative. She is spayed and fully vetted. Chloe is a beautiful gentle giant with the manners of a refined lady. The person or family lucky enough to adopt her will be richly rewarded with a lifetime of loyalty and love. This holiday season, maybe you can be the one to make Chloe's wishes come true and give her a family she can love and who loves her. If you think this is you, come meet our Chloe. You'll be happy you did. Call 706-865-4135 for information on additional health services provided as part of the adoption fee.
