About Petey

Adoption Fee: $100
Domestic Cat
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Male

Hello there! My name is Petey, and I'm a sweet, affectionate, friendly, and inquisitive black and white tuxedo DSH fella who was born in July 2018. My foster meowmy testifies that I'm a true sweetheart who's very loving yet still very playful. I love romping with the other foster felines, and when I'm tuckered out, I just crawl up in my foster meowmy's lap. I even get along with the resident little dogs in my foster home, and I'd probably be great with children. In short, I'd be perfect for any family and household! I'm one lucky guy! Why am I lucky? When an outdoor kitty (a.k.a. my feline angel) brought me to my future foster meowmy's doorstep, I was in pretty bad shape physically: I was really sick, starved, dehydrated, infested with fleas, and so weak that I almost couldn't walk. My 'feline angel' stood watching outside and knew that all would be okay because her human mom would make everything better for me. I surely didn't know that though! I put up a hissy-fit when this strange human scruffed me and bathed me, but I calmed down when she started feeding me really yummy wet food and loving on me. Right away, Foster Meowmy took me to the vet, who said I had a 50/50 shot to survive. Thank heavens that my foster mom didn't give up! For over two weeks she gave me fluids every day and even took me to work with her to make sure I ate throughout the day. I had so many things wrong with me, but Foster Meowmy persevered, and finally I started to take a turn for the BETTER! I'm so thankful for so many reasons but mostly for still being alive because of my foster meowmy's devoted nursing. Finally now I'm healthy and ready to find a home to call my very own. I know that I'd better find a home soon or my foster mom will find it hard to part with me after we have been through so much. Fighting for my survival really bonded us together. No worries - I love it here, but a home where I don't have to share human attention with so many other foster kittens will be best for me. However, I'd do better with another feline friend to play with, so if you don't have one, consider one of my foster buddies! Come see me today! You don't meet a survivor like me every day! Petey is updated on shots, neutered, dewormed, microchipped, FIV/ FeLV negative, and ready for his indoor-only home. No de-clawing permitted. His adoption fee is $100, cash or check payable to Buster's Friends. Please click the contact button if you are interested in Petey, and we can let you know exactly where you can meet him.
