About Hudson

Adoption Fee: 500
American Staffordshire Terrier / Pit Bull
Age: Adult
Sex: Male

Meet Hudson. Hudson is a 6 year old chill and mature guy who would love to find his forever home. %A0He has spent most of his life as a backyard dog or in a shelter, until he found his way to us. He is fully trained and can now walk politely on a leash, come when called, place (down/stay), be polite with resources and respectful of doorways. %A0His training has taught him to earn and value simple pleasures thru his new manners. Hudson is fully on and off leash trained and can now:%A0 * Walk politely on leash %A0* Come when called %A0* Place (down/stay) providing him with more life inclusion and impulse control %A0* Be polite with resources, by releasing and backing away from items such as food%A0 %A0 %A0 %A0 %A0or toys %A0* Be respectful of doorways, by waiting to be invited through%A0 His training has taught him how to earn and value simple pleasures through his new manners. Hudson is e-collar trained, like all of our rescues, giving him more off leash reliability and freedom potential.%A0 He is perfect for a calm and quiet, only dog home, with NO cats, and older kids, where he can just lay around all day or maybe even go to work with you and nap there, and get in a walk a few times a week. Hudson doesn't have a ton of energy, yet is an opinionated guy who would love to find himself a strong leader to help show him how to politely live in this crazy human world. %A0***As of 9/20/18 Hudson has been diagnosed with Arthritis and Spondylosis. We are working closely with a holistic veterinarian to help him be as comfortable as possible, and to determine what his future holds. Hudson has been with us since Jan. 2018 and during this time, and all of his ongoing training, he is more than ready to find his forever home. A benefit of having Hudson under our care for a year now, we have discovered the reality of his life-long medical needs, and are willing to wave his adoption fee to the right home. He's still his loving self, and is thoroughly enjoying his extra TLC.%A0 To inquire about Hudson, head over to www.hope2k9.com and send us an application! There is a $597 adoption fee, and we provide continued training support beyond the Go Home Sessions for your long term commitment to your adopted dog.%A0
