About Rocco

Rocco is sweet loving and likes to cuddle like a teddy bear. He looks like a fighter but he is not. We have been his foster home for sometime now and have grown quite attached to him. It is unfortunate that we are allergic to his fur. Not being able to come in the house has made him extremely depressed. Rocco deserves to be in a home that can support his greatest need and that is to be inside the house with the family. Please help us to find a forever home for him. Although Rocco is a large dog he acts more like a lapdog at times. He does well at the groomer and is fine with us brushing his teeth. Rocco is very playful and full of energy. Playing fetch is his favorite thing and a must. He also enjoys running, car rides and watching TV. He has the strong need to be a part of the family at all times. We think that he is a Sheppard-Rottie mix. He is approximately two years old. His shots are all up-to-date and he has been neutered and microchipped. Rocco has had some training and follows a few simple commands and is housebroken. I don't believe he would do well small children. He still has a puppy personality and can play a little rough at times. He does not understand how big he is or know his own strength. Rocco is afraid of lizards but will attack possums and squirrels make him crazy. I don't think he will do well in a home with cats. He has tried to warm up to other dogs but it is usually rejected by them. An ideal home for him would be with only adults or a family with older children. And perhaps a home that has larger dogs that are willing to except him.
