About Charlie Brown

Howdy to you! My name is Charlie Brown, and I'm a sweet, loving, very affectionate, playful, obedient 65-pound chocolate Lab/ American Staffordshire Terrier mix fella with a white bib and paws. I have beautiful golden eyes and was born in November 2017. I'm still a puppy, so I'm a happy-happy, wonderful dog who loves people of all ages and other dogs, but I am so rambunctious that I should only be adopted by families with kids over 10. I haven't even shown any aggression to the cats whom I've occasionally encountered. I love to ride in the car and to run in the park, where I put my nose to the ground and 'hunt' like a typical retriever. I get so excited when I first see my human friends because I know it means a romp in the park or playing tug-of-war or something fun, and then I settle down for some loving. Two good things about me are that I'm not destructive and I don't shed. True confessions -- I'm still afraid of loud noises like cars and trains, but my foster mom says that I'm getting better every day. Also, people have to approach me very calmly, and if not, I get very nervous. Just to make sure that I'm a perfectly behaved gentleman when I'm adopted, I'm attending puppy kindergarten every day. I guess you're wondering how a fantastic young fella like me is homeless. A Good Samaritan saw my emaciated Mama wandering the slum streets and tried to catch her. Mama led the nice lady to an abandoned rent house, where a neighbor reported that the family had moved out in the middle of the night and left their dogs. They managed to break into the abandoned house and found me and my five 3-week-old siblings inside. We were plenty glad to see Mama since we were pretty hungry, and we'll be eternally grateful for these kind ladies' persisting in rescuing us from certain death inside as long as we were isolated from Mama outside. The Good Samaritan scooped up my whole family -- all 7 of us -- and brought us to be fostered by our terrific Buster's Friends foster mom. Thankfully Foster Mom has showered us with love and attention and has promised to find us all wonderful forever homes. So why don't you arrange to meet me this very day?
