About Ernie

Meet Ernie! This speckled dude is 6-months old, 50 lbs and growing! He is very playful and loves to cuddle up after getting all of his puppy energy out. He lives with another dog in his foster home and needs a big pup that can keep up with him. He's super sweet and affectionate to his people! He looks like and acts like a Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler so we are looking for an experienced owner with heeler-characteristics. When the animal control officer found Tank (now Ernie), he was abandoned in his home for months along with three small dogs - one of them pregnant! He was easily taken in by the officer and called Jasper Animal Shelter home for a few weeks until he came up to Chicago with Mutts of the Midway. Are you interested in adopting Ernie?
