About Gourdy

(LOCAL ADOPTION ONLY) The Holiday Season is upon us! To celebrate, we have these adorable holiday themed puppy names to remind us to be thankful. Meet Gourdy! This little baby was owner surrendered with his 7 other siblings. They are believed to be Shih Tzu/Terrier mixes. Gourdy currently weighs 3.3 pounds and is 9 weeks old. Terriers love to run and play and so do puppies! A fenced in yard would be best, but it is not a requirement for adoption. We would prefer he go to a home with no large dogs and no small children due to his size. He has not been tested with cats. Don't forget that behind the adorable mask, these are babies and don't expect any different! We caution all adopters to watch the doors when they open and close them as well as where they walk because they do like to weave between your feet! Get ready for puppy breath, but also, puppy energy! He is working on puppy-pad training since they are not ready to go outside until after their third set of shots, so potty training is limited until 12-14 weeks of age to prevent the risk of bacterial illnesses. He should not be taken out of the home until that time, except for vetting, to keep his little immune system safe. Puppies have three sets of shots so any remaining shots are included in the price of his adoption fee, as well as his neuter, when he is old enough, as long as this is done at our vet. He is doing well on puppy chow and we guess that he will be no bigger than 10lbs full-grown. Are you the perfect home for this sweet little thing?
