About Leo

Hi, my name is Leo. I am very friendly and affectionate. So, I was little sad and confused when my previous owner abandoned me in an apartment in Philadelphia. Fortunately, a really nice lady came and saved me from being brought to a shelter. I am now happy again and living with this kind person and her husband until I can find a wonderful fur-ever home. I'm a male, yellow lab mix, about 2-3 years old, 70 pounds, neutered, and up-to-date on my vaccinations. I am housebroken and good with free roam. I'm also well-behaved when I go for a ride in the car. I live with three other large dogs and we have lots of fun. I've also met some smaller dogs and I got along with them too. I tend to chase cats, so it would best if my new home didn't have any cats. I've shown off some of my athletic ability a few times by jumping over my family's 4-foot split rail fence. So leash walks and/or a higher fence would be the best way to keep me safe. I can also get so excited when I meet someone that I jump up to greet them. But I'm very smart and eager to learn, so getting some training in basic good manners is okay with me. I'm an active and playful boy, but after exercise or playtime, I just really love to settle down and snuggle. Because of all the changes that I have been through, I would do best living in a calm, adult household in a single family home. Living with another nice dog, to play with and learn from, would be great too. I have lots of love to give and I will be so grateful to find a second chance in a home that will be patient with me while I learn how to become part of a new family.
