About Riley

Meet - Super handsome Riley��%BD%9D%A4��%BD��%BD%8F- a majestic Husky boy with a very soft face and blue eyes. Riley was rescued from deathrow out of highkill Riverside shelter after spending 6 weeks in doggie jail. He super friendly with people, very loving and affectionate. He still pulls a little on his daily and nightly walks, but getting much better and will be a very capable companion on a walk. But, if you are a runner, this one is for you! A great gait, steady and even, and he could go for miles once his strength is back. He is learning basic commands and doing well when rewarded with a treat or chest rub. His coat is coming around too, getting its sheen back. He has a 'raked' look to him. It's not brush marks, that is just his coat. Haven't noticed any food aggression or possession over toys. Hasn't been a flight risk or jumping over fences or trying to sneak by you when you open a door or gate. Although, when the collar and leash go on, the excitement level jumps to 10 quickly. One last thing, this young boy loves human contact. He will sit under the window when he hears people talking or in front of a door waiting for you to come out. Not a barker or howler at all. Does make excited bird noises when he knows someone is about to pay him a visit! Riley doesn't do well with dominant male dogs, but he's totally fine with most of the female dogs, and mellow male dogs as well. He'll be perfect to be the only dog, or paired with a mellow doggie friend!
