Another absolutely heartbreaking case here, Paddington was actually a confiscation case out of CA & my word thank goodness he was confiscated & given to the shelter, the abuse here was absolutely disgusting & horrific. He needed out of the shelter immediately & needed 3 surgery's. Unfortunately it was true, the damage was so severe from what can only seem to be from being beaten was absolute cruelty. The he was pain in had to be In was torturous & of course he was not trusting of people, who could blame him. We got him to our vet & the specialist performed 2 surgeries on Paddington's tiny little jaw as it was fractured on both sides of his jaw. His sweet little body had already been through so much, then it was discovered his femur was also fractured so he needed an operation immediately to rebuild his tiny beaten femur. The procedures were done the amazing specialist & vet & we ended up spending on this little man roughly $4101.30 just alone on his operations & medications & that did not include the further care at our vets. By the loving care & dedication by his amazing foster mum in CA Paddington built trust but it definitely took some time he adapted & his beautiful little personality shone through & recovered beautifully in his foster home in CA. Then it was time for the next part of his story to come to WA to his new foster home here. Paddington is neutered, possibly a carin terrier mix but what he is mixed with we do not know for sure. He weighs roughly 13 lbs, is up to date on his shots, heart worm negative, chipped, loves all other dogs, great with people, we have not had him around children but he does really well around teenagers & we have not had him around cats before. When we got Paddington our of the Shelter he weighed 11 bs & quickly put on 2 lbs in his foster home & is still putting on weight. Paddington has this unique smile as you can see from the surgery's in his pictures. It's mandatory for Paddington to go to a forever home with another very playful dog in the home as he loves the companionship of other dogs & loves to play & snuggle with them. Paddington foster mum said, Paddington is doing great in his foster home! It took him a few days to warm up to us - and who could blame him after the way he was treated by his previous owner - but now that he has settled in, he has shown us his true colors. He is a loving playful pup. Paddington gets along well with other dogs and is having so much fun playing with the other dogs in his foster home. He has been racing around the house playing with plushie toys. He has been respectful of the cat as well. Paddington loves to snuggle with his canine and human friends. He gets excited for walks and is doing well on the leash. He has a healthy appetite and has no trouble eating despite recovering from a fractured jaw. Paddington will make some lucky family so happy! Paddington has been around cats since being in the rescue but it's always up to the new family to be responsible with their animals together & we have not had him around small children so this would be up to the new family to be responsible with. We do not know for sure what breed Paddington is & it's always up to the new potential family to look at the pictures & decide what they think his breed is. As with all of our rescues & Paddington's friends he will need work on potty training & training, so this should be something the new family would be willing to work on & commit to. Please do not submit an application if you are not willing to commit to one of our rescues care for their whole life & that includes if they need training. We would also never say one of our sweet beloved rescues are potty trained. Our rescues need homes where the people are understanding of their past & what they have been through & what they will need in their daily lives & not willing to give up on them & if they do need training will in fact take them to training. Please only submit an application if you are truly interested in adopting Paddington & going through the process and have read his listing fully to the end & are interested in adopting. If you are not responsive to our calls, emails or your references do not respond we will move on & remove your application from our system. You must be willing to go through our screening process which includes your references being checked, a phon
