SAY HELLO TO GEORGE AND LENNY! George and Lenny are a bonded pair of 5 year old Poodle / Maltese mix boys. Each weighing in at 20 pounds, these two handsome boys came to us through no fault of their own. George and Lennie are believed to be brothers. They were abandoned on a street corner and patiently waited all day for their owners to return for them. They would no leave that spot nor would they leave each other. We exhausted all resources to find their owners, however no one has been found and no one has come forward. These guys are a bonded pair and will only be adopted out together. They are such good, easy dogs even though they were so neglected before they arrived. They were matted to the skin and covered in sharp painful stickers. They are not barkers, get along with most other dogs and while they occasionally squabble, they clearly love each other. They will easily assimilate to a new environment and be the most loyal pets you could ever want. They are both very friendly to all that volunteer at the rescue. They walk very nicely together on the leash, and greet all that they meet politely and respectfully. George and Lenny ride very well in the car together and once they get to know you, are very playful. They are both house trained however lie all rescues to a new family, will need gentle guidance and patience as they adjust to their new family's routine. But it will be easy as they are just so well behaved. Neither has been tested with children, so the ideal adopter will be adults or adults with kids over the age of 10 who will understand and respect these guys. George and Lenny are a longer coated breed that will require regular weekly brushing and professional grooming every 6 to 8 weeks to keep them looking good! George and Lenny's COMBINED adoption fee is $ 750.00 This fee includes 2 Veterinarian Wellness checks while here at the rescue, 2 neuters, vaccinations for each dog that includes rabies and bordatella, 2 de-wormings, a pre-adoption professional groom for each of them as well as a microchip for both with lifetime membership. George and Lenny will both have a new collar and leash as well as a gift bag which includes among other things, a starter bag of the quality grain free kibble that they have been eating. Their adoption fee also allows us the ability to put funds towards the next little one in need of rescue!
