SAY HELLO TO PETEY! Petey is the most amazing 2 year old white nd black coated Chihuahua mix boy. Weighing in at just 9 pounds, we are all so amazed at just how much personality can fit into one tiny little body! Petey is paws down the most adorable little sweetheart this side of the country! He is just such a character that even those who aren't fans of little dogs will fall in love with. Petey is just so silly and so talkative, super smart and oh so cuddly. He is also protective of his owner. He is a true clown and definitely the biggest personality we have in our rescue at the moment. Everyone who visits just loves Petey. And what's not to love? He is so approachable and greets everyone with this big smile and endless tail wag. He enjoys his outings on the leash and greets everyone like he's known them forever. He gets on very well with all of his foster mates and would thrive with a family that has another small breed that is similar in size, age and bubbly personality. He is very playful and enjoys entertaining you and making you laugh. When you meet Petey, you can't help but just smile. Petey will do wonderful with a family of adults or adults with older kids that are at least 9 years of age and who also have both gentle hands and experience with small dogs like Petey. Petey was surrendered to us through no fault of his own. His owners were breaking off their relationship. Each was moving and neither was able to make Petey a part of that move. Petey was mostly house trained, but will require a refresher course and definitely more consistency and routine. He is very bright and wants nothing more than to make you happy! Petey is a low maintenance, shorter coated breed that will require regular weekly brushing as well as baths as needed. Regular nail trims and ear cleaning could be done very inexpensively with a qualified reputable groomer. Petey's adoption fee is $ 250.00 This fee includes his Veterinarian Wellness checks while here at the rescue, his neuter, all vaccinations including rabies and bordatella, de-worming, a pre-adoption professional groom and a microchip with lifetime membership. Petey will also have a new collar and leash as well as a gift bag which includes among other things, a starter bag of the quality grain free kibble that he has been eating.
