About Arcadia

Meet a very special mama dog, Arcadia! Arcadia, aka Kadie is a medium sized, 3 year old mixed breed dog that gave birth to 11 puppies at a rural Virginia shelter. She has raised all those lovely puppies and was adopted from us in March. Unfortunately, Kadie has decided that she she no longer likes her canine brother and has been very mean to him! Now, we need to find her a home with out other dogs. Kadie loves her toys, playing in the back yard and snuggling. She is loyal, loving, sweet and vocal. She loves to be talked to and will even talk back! Kadie is house trained, great in a crate, good on leash and likes to wear her sweater when it gets chilly outside! Our adoption fee of $175 helps take care of all dogs in our foster program. All dogs are spayed/neutered, tested for heartworm and tick borne diseases (if old enough) , microchipped and vaccinated for rabies (if old enough), distemper/parvo and bordetella. They are also treated for internal and external parasites. Many dogs also receive extensive medical care such as dentals and major surgeries.
