SAY HELLO TO PILOT! Pilot is very handsome super sweet 2 year old black coated Poodle boy. Weighing in at 15 pounds, this little guy is so in search of a family to call his own. Pilot came to us through no fault of his own. The one and only person who meant the world to him passed away. Sadly, no one in the family could take him in as they were moving. Pilot could not be part of their move, so here he is with us. We are so happy to have Pilot as we search for his special person that will bring joy back into his life! Pilot is a sweet boy who had little socializing other than with his immediate family before coming to us. He took some time to adjust and takes a little time to warm up to new people. He has just started to become very playful. He likes to be with perhaps 1 other dog or alone. He will become reclusive when he around too many dogs. We are thinking a dog that is laid back and not too overly energetic - that is of like size and age. Pilot is shy when meeting new people, but once he is comfortable, he can be playful with you! He is very bright and understands basic commands. He walks very well on his leash and greets others respectfully. Pilot is house trained and does well when crated. Like all rescues, he will require a family that will provide gentle guidance and patience as he adjusts and understands his new family's routine on where he is to go and what he is to do. He is very calm and polite when riding in the car. The ideal family would be adults with a quiet lifestyle. Pilot has not been tested with young kids. Pilot is a longer coated breed that will require regular weekly brushing and professional grooming every 6 to 8 weeks to keep him looking good! Pilot's adoption fee is $450.00 This fee includes his Veterinarian Wellness checks while here at the rescue, his neuter, all vaccinations including rabies and bordatella, de-worming, a pre-adoption professional groom and a microchip with lifetime membership. Pilot will also have a new collar and leash as well as a gift bag which includes among other things, a starter bag of the quality grain free kibble that he has been eating. His adoption fee also allows us the ability to put funds towards the next little one in need of rescue!
