OUT OF STATE ADOPTIONS: We do allow out-of-state adoptions for ADULT dogs, however, the adopter MUST come to Houston to get the dog and take the dog home with them. We do not allow our dogs to be shipped. Also, our puppies can only be adopted to the immediate Houston vicinity as it takes 4 months to get them completely vetted at our vet here in Houston. We will not allow our dogs/puppies to be adopted out of the area without being spayed/neutered. We spay/neuter puppies at 4 months old. Hello! My name is Raul. I am a shy, little guy with a big heart. I was so scared when I first arrived at my foster home, but have warmed up to my people quickly. I don't remember much about my past life, but it must have been rough. I have small scars on my body and walk with a slight limp. The vet told me that my right arm was previously broken. They don't know what happened, but I may require surgery in the future. I love my people, but I am especially attached to my foster mom. I follow her all around the house and sleep right next to her at night. I love when she picks me up and carries me around. I am usually very quiet, but I will let you know when strangers are walking by the house. My big ears are always on alert! I get along with my furry foster siblings, even though they are grumpy. I know not to bother them, but sometimes they will play with me. We run around the backyard and love to fetch balls. I am still working on my potty training, but I am almost there! I know to do my business outside, but I am still young so I have had a few accidents. I am crate trained and stay in my crate quietly when my people are gone. My foster parents say that I have been the best guest! I have learned to walk well on my leash and love going on walks with my foster siblings. Come see me at the adoption center this weekend! Raul is a Male Pit / Terrier Mix that we estimate to be born around 4/28/2018 and currently weighs between 17-20 lbs. PUPPIES: Young puppies that have not had their second round of puppy shots will not be at the Adoption Center for our weekend adoption events. If your application is approved, a meeting can be arranged. Also, we only adopt young puppies locally due to the 4 month time frame it takes to get them fully vetted and altered. SPAY/NEUTER: As we believe proper healthcare of one's pet is a requirement of good ownership K-9 Angels Rescue only adopts out dogs that have been fully vetted. If the dog being adopted is not already altered at the time of their adoption, the dog will be altered within 2 weeks of adoption at our vet at our cost, with the exception of puppies which will be altered as soon as the puppy is ready.
