About HARPER'S TIME IS UP..

Hi friendly folks for love friendly pups.... I'm Harper, a super friendly and affectionate 8 years young, 65 lb Lab mix who gets along with other dogs and cats too! In fact I'm so friendly I'm a volunteer favorite and they all agree that 'Harper is sweet, sweeter and the sweetest!' They are hoping they can help find me a forever home. I am in an overcrowded shelter in the South where competing with the younger pups for adopter's attention isn't easy. I haven't given up hope that someone will save me before my time is up. Maybe that someone is you!? I am a happy girl who still has a lot of love and joy to share....there are so many reasons to say yes to me. If you are looking for someone to keep you company on the porch while you read a good book, I'm your girl! I don't demand lots of daily exercise rain or shine. In fact I love to sleep and cuddle rainy days away. I enjoy a brisk walk, then putting my paws up and chillaxing. I have a tremendous amount of love and affection to give. I will be eternally grateful to you for saving me, and I will shower you with my unwavering devotion and affection for you. I have learned many of life's lessons, i.e.shoes are for walking and bones are for chewing; and the great outdoors is for eliminating and the house is for relaxing. Don't believe what you hear--I can still learn new tricks too! I'll fit into your household with ease; I'll find the softest, warmest spot in the house and claim it for my own, but I'll happily share with you, too. I would make an excellent companion for everyone, especially senior people. I've been overlooked in the shelter for a long time now; passed over for all the cute and cuddly puppies and young adults. Please, please come get me before I am killed to make space for the younger pups. A local Bucks County. PA rescue will save Harper with your help. All they need is a commitment from an adopter who is a good fit for Harper. They could also use donations to help defray rescue costs. The adoption fee barely covers the rescue costs including vetting and medical care, pre-transport boarding fees and transport from the Carolinas to Pennsylvania.
