About Cane

Cane is a large breed mix we adopted him from a shelter out of our town and was brought to that shelter from hurricane erma. We rescued him when he was about 3-4 months old he is now 1 1/2 years old. He is excellent with my 5 year old son but not sure about other kids. He should be in a home with no kids or other dogs he is showing to be possessive and aggression towards other dogs. I don't have the time to train him properly and to the potential I think he could be. He is house trained and not destructive, knows some chamans like lay down, sit and most of the time come. He is showing aggression to my mom's golden retriever and some other dog we incounter. Also he is unsure of some people. He goes out off leash in the woods with my mom every day. He is very strong and me and my mom who looks after him are both injured and can not handle him anymore. I know he can be a great dog for somone with time to train him and is used to strong breeds. He was abandoned in Miami and abused when he was found in the Everglades with his tail removed when he was 3 months and younger. We think he is a black mouth cur or ridge back. It breaks my heart to have to give him a way but I can't leave him at home all day buy himself because he does have anxiety that why my mom has had him Durning the day but I can't have him hurt her dog and she also has a small one.
