About Grandma

Maine Coon / Domestic Cat
Age: Senior
Sex: Female

Grandma is a 17 year old black and white, domestic medium hair cat. She was rescued from the Hillsborough County Pet Resource Center a month ago, when she was on the list to euthanized. I fell in love immediately and decided to rescue her, give her a nice place to relax for awhile and then find her a forever home. Not much is known about her past, but her she was surrendered by her owners. She is declawed, and does have feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV). FIV poses no risk to humans and dogs, and essentially no risk to cats unless they draw blood and fight. Vets think it was a recent infection and she is in excellent health for her age. She has had blood work and X-rays, both came back clear, she is fixed and UTD on all shots. For 17, she is quite an active lady. She enjoys roaming the house, sleeping on the bed, jumping on the chair. She often likes to sleep on her cat nip toys or scratching pad. Grandma loves kitten food and treats. She is good with other dogs and cats. She appears to be a alpha cat, and is not phased by our cat who is scared of her. Please think about giving Grandma a quiet , lovely place to live out her final years. For more info contact rescuer [email protected]
