About URGENT - MELANIE

A5235697 Melanie is a meek 2-year-old black-and-tan spayed female German Shepherd who came to the Baldwin Park Animal Care Center as a stray from La Puente on November 10th. Weighing 53 lbs, Melanie is a gentle, loving soul who wasn't built for the chaos of shelter life. She is clearly overwhelmed and will try to hide from new people and dogs, but warms up with attention and reassurance. Given her timidity, we recommend that Melanie go to a home with children aged 12 and up or adults only and think that she would likely be ok with other calm dogs. This beautiful, shy girl desperately needs to get out of the shelter and into a warm, loving home that can spoil her with attention (and maybe fatten her up a bit). Melanie is the kind of dog who bonds deeply with her people, and we know she will blossom in a calm, structured environment to build her confidence.
