Hi everyone! Queenie here! I'm so happy you clicked on my bio to learn more. I really want a family to call my own! Maybe that could be you? I used to have a family. They didn't teach me many manners or basic obedience. They just yelled at me and hit me, and it made me scared all the time. They even left me tied up outside, all alone when they weren't home. Something came along and attacked me one day when I was left by myself, and I was very injured. My family took me to the vet, but didn't want to pay to have me treated, so that's when I met the great people at Multiple Breed Rescue. They paid to fixed me up, and, even though I lost my right eye, I can see that they are nice people. Despite my rough start, I still really love people. My foster mom tells me all the time what a good girl I am. I sometimes get scared that I'll do something bad and get in trouble though, so that makes me quite shy with new people. It takes me a few times of meeting someone before I can tell if they're going to be nice to me or not, and for me to get comfortable with them. Well, except with kids. I really love kids. I'm kind of big though and get really excited, so sometimes I knock them over, especially if they are little. I am learning and trying to remember to 'down' and 'sit' but sometimes I'm just so excited! I've been at my foster home for a while now. I get toys to play with, and even have siblings in my foster home. My foster sister Belle can be a bit grumpy, so she's teaching me good manners. I also share the house with a cat, too, and we play all the time. There are even chickens that run around in the yard with me, but I'm not supposed to play with them, so I 'leave it' when I'm told. Speaking of running in the yard...I love it! I'm quite energetic. I love to go on walks and even though I only have one eye, I'm really good at playing catch and fetch. And car rides, oh I love those too. I am house trained and crate trained (only when my foster family isn't home). I'm still very young (only 1 1/2 years old) and have a tendency to get into things I shouldn't so being in the crate is a good thing for now. But I'm not crated at night time when everyone is home; I get to sleep wherever I want which is pretty awesome. My new family needs to be patient with me, especially in those situations when I may be meeting new people. Remember that I don't like when strangers try to pet me because I need time to get to know someone first and become more confident that they will not hurt me. Once I get to know you, I can be a big cuddly baby. And I will give you 10 X the amount of love back that I receive. If you are interested in adopting me, please complete an application for approval. I look forward to the possibility of meeting you!
