About Mara (Be A Golden One)

MARA (BE A GOLDEN ONE)- 5 year-old 15.2hh Standardbred gelding - all-around riding or driving horse - for advanced/experienced person. Be A Golden One (Mara) is full of personality, very vocal with high energy. He wasn't cut out to be a racehorse as he hits himself too much when trotting at racing speed. Mara can trot all day long and never gets tired. Mara currently shares a field and lives outside 24/7 with Kaline. When racing, he was perfectly well-behaved with excellent manners at the track, but was a different story at home. He is good to drive, but all energy and go so he will need an experienced handler. Mara started under saddle in October 2018. He will be similar to Gleason, Sierra or Gem- high energy and all work with an awesome personality. If you like Speedwell, Mara is just a taller version. Available FREE to an approved home with contract with a minimum 60 day trial period. Adopter must be located within an eight (8) hour drive of Howell, NJ OR the Lexington, Kentucky area.
