SAY HELLO TO CHEWY! Chewy is an adorable and well mannered 2 year old black and white Havanese / Shih Tzu mix boy. Weighing in at just 12 pounds, can anyone say perfect dog! Chewy came to us as an owner surrender. We believe that the reason was due to a biting issue, however we has never offered to bite anyone here at the rescue. Everything about Chewy is wonderful. He is as Sweet and oh so playful as he is stunning, easy and fun to have around, beautiful, gentle and well mannered. He will make a great family member for any home. He is so laid back - not at all hyper or barky. He is very playful and moderately active but not needing a ton of excercise. Chewy gets on so well with all his foster mates. He would be a wonderful pal for a family that has a small breed like him that is the sme in size, age and loving personality. Though Chewy has never bit or even offered to bite anyone here at the rescue, because of his possible bite history, we are seeking a family of adults or adults with kids over the age of 11 with gentle hands, respect and experience with small breed dogs. Chewy walks like a show dog on his leash and greets all that he meets with a tail wag and a smile. He rides nicely in the car and is very good the whole time. He is house trained, but like all new little ones, he will need gentle guidance and patience as he learns the ropes of your schedule. He does not care much for being crated. Chewy is a longer coated breed that will require regular weekly brushing and professional grooming every 6 to 8 weeks to keep that gorgeous coat looking stunning! Chewys's adoption fee is $550.00 This fee includes his Veterinarian Wellness checks while here at the rescue, his neuter, all vaccinations including rabies and bordatella, de-worming, a pre-adoption professional groom and a microchip with lifetime membership. Chewy will also have a new collar and leash as well as a gift bag which includes among other things, a starter bag of the quality grain free kibble that he has been eating. His adoption fee also allows us the ability to put funds towards the next little one in need of rescue!
