SAY HELLO TO FOOTLOOSE! Footloose is an adorably sweet and cuddly 2 year old Chihuahua boy. Weighing in at just 6 pounds, this little dynamo has all the personality of 20 doggies his size all wrapped into one! This super fun loving cherub came to us as an owner surrender as they were no longer to provide care for him. Footloose's front left leg is deformed. It was likely broken when he was quite young and he was not taken to a Veterinarian to set it. The leg healed well but because of the way he walked for so long it caused his long bone to bend and remain in the position shown. Our Veterinarian feels it should be left the way it is as it would be significantly traumatic and painful to rebreak it to fix it. This little set back does not affect him at all! It causes him no pain and is just as playful as can be. Footloose is one of the first to greet everyone who visits his foster;s home. He is a very good natured boy and plays well with his foster mates. He very much enjoys pats on the head and a good belly rub. Footloose is, simply put .. a very sweet Chi. Not at all like the typically nervous and shaky Chihuiahua. No one is a stranger and is very curious and wants to get to know you and make friends. He really is just such a wonderful, squishy, little cuddlebug who will surely make your family complete! Footloose rides like a gentleman during his car rides and also enjoys his walks on the leash. He would continue to blossom with another dog in the home that is of like size, age and friendly personality. He has not been tested with young children, but we feel he would do fine with kids over the age of 10 that have gentle hands, respect and experience with small dogs like Footloose. Footloose has not been raised with much house training skills, however we have been working on that with him. He does very well with the crate and has no issues with it. He knows to use the doggy door already when his foster is home and he is supervised. Like all dogs big and small, they should never have access to a dog door when their family is not at home. Like all rescues starting life with a new family, Footloose will need guidance and patience as he learns his new family's routines. Footloose is a shorter coated breed that will be very low maintenance. He'll have baths as needed, regular nail trims and ear cleaning. Footloose's adoption fee is $ 125.00 This fee includes his Veterinarian Wellness checks while here at the rescue,his neuter, all vaccinations including rabies and bordatella, de-worming, a pre-adoption professional groom and a microchip with lifetime membership. Footloose will also have a new collar and leash as well as a gift bag which includes among other things, a starter bag of the quality grain free kibble that he has been eating. His adoption fee also allows us the ability to put funds towards the next little one in need of rescue!
