Frankie is a handsome hunk of a strong, playful, loving and fun, 69-pound, 18-month-old male Rottweiler-mix looking for a loving guardian. This boy is perfectly housebroken, easily crated, and well-behaved in the home. He knows the command sit and walks nicely on leash, unless he sees a squirrel or bunny. He loves his walks and is great on car rides! He's been great with other dogs and loves to play. He also is a fabulous jogging partner. However he is protective of those he loves and has a very fearsome bark! Although once he meets you, he is fabulous. He just takes a minute to realize you mean no harm and he's sweet and snuggly as can be. He loves balls and toys, and you can take them easily from his mouth. He loves carrying around his toys on his walks which makes him look adorable. People stop to giggle at him. Frankie is healthy, neutered, up-to-date on rabies, distemper and bordatella vaccines, micro-chipped, heartworm-tested and on monthly heartworm preventative. Frankie lost his original home when his human went to prison. I don't know why. The landlord kicked him out of the apartment and neighbors asked me to take him in. He was not neutered, full of worms, a skin infection and ear infections. It's been three weeks and he's doing amazingly well and all healthy. If you are interested in meeting and possibly adopting Frankie, please contact [email protected] for an adoption application. His adoption fee of $200 benefits the rescued dogs of Friends of Petraits. He is being fostered in Chicago's Andersonville neighborhood.
