ERNIE - A4114034 This is Ernie. He is a 2 year old black and white, male, neutered American Pit Bull Terrier, and has been at the shelter since August 24, 2018. Ernie is a friendly little guy who gets along well with other dogs most of the time. He knows 'sit', 'stay', 'come' and 'down'; takes treats gently. He is most often a calm lap dog; energetic at times, and he likes carrying a ball around; Ernie was adopted out, but no family or other pet introduction was done before releasing him to go home. Apparently, Ernie has a resource-guarding behavior, meaning he gets aggressive when a person or another dog tries to share his food or toys. So he was returned. Based on this information, Ernie has been placed on the euthanasia list unless he is adopted promptly. We feel Ernie should go to an adult-only home, and no other pets. He would be a wonderful companion, and would love you until his dying breath. Please, someone, do let that be today. Please - someone step up and save this great little dog.
