About Mario

Crisp autumn air, cool grass, crunch of fall leaves, food, naps, affection? Well, if you would like a refresher, please take a cue from Mario. Every day is a wonderful day. Another day to enjoy what this world offers, whether it's soaking in sunshine, chasing blowing leaves, helping in the kitchen, or catching up on zzzzs. Mario is a young, 7 month old terrier mix. Weighing only 13lbs, he's a bundle of fuzz, kisses, and energy. He is a cuddly little guy but does need regular physical and mental exercise to keep him (and you) happy. He is great on leash and easily keeps up on his 2 to 3 mile daily walk. Mario is learning expectations and manners and would benefit from a puppy obedience class. He is almost potty trained; he doesn't have accidents in his crate but he needs to be carefully watched when outside his crate. Mario is quiet unless he is experiencing a new situation (whines) or left alone (whines and barks) - because of this, he isn't recommended for an apartment. Mario gets along with his two larger canine housemates and is learning proper interactions. They are tolerant of his puppy antics but a less patient dog may get annoyed with his behavior. Since he is still young, there are many things that are new to him and he would benefit greatly if his adopters would expose him to fun new places, people and things. Mario will need a home that will keep him exercised, will continue to socialize him with people and other animals. No cats or kids under 6 please.
