About Cole

Special Needs Boy; Mostly Blind - Sadly, he's missing part of his retinas. It's a congenital disorder in collies and shelties, so at his size, Cole is likely a sheltie mix. Our foster is happy to announce that Cole is coming along by leaps and bounds!!! He now barks to greet her when she comes home from work and wags his tail when she approaches the kennel. He has bonded with one of the dogs in the home and he shadows her everywhere she goes. Cole just went in for his neuter and is recovering well. We feel that another dog that can bond with Cole like his fosters' dog did will be a must in his new home for a successful, happy life. Cole is about 24 pounds, a year old, UTD, HW-, microchipped and more than ready for a new home before he becomes too accustomed to life with his foster. He still doesn't like to be touched, but with time we believe he will come around and be a great little companion. Preference will be given to those with experience with blind dogs and preferably a no child/quiet household since Cole spooks easily. Cole is being fostered in Suffolk, VA
