About Rocket

Rocket is an all-white Staffie Mix �%A0(not deaf) that was abandoned in a neighborhood, found tethered to a fence.�%A0 He's about 50 lbs, �%A0and approximately �%A01 year old, healthy and happy and recently neutered (he still has stitches).�%A0 For the life of us, we can't imagine why someone gave him up.�%A0 He walks well on a leash, seems to be housetrained (no accidents so far), sleeps nicely on a bed at night, and has no real bad habits.�%A0 (He's a little mouthy and rambunctious, but not overly so.)�%A0 He shows no physical or mental signs of abuse.�%A0 He's a little shy meeting new people, but warms up very quickly and become very affectionate with kisses and snuggling.�%A0 We've never seen him growl or show any sign of aggression at all.�%A0 On walks, he hasn't lunged or shown any serious prey drive. He likes dogs, but unfortunately, our own dog isn't very fond of him so we can't keep him.�%A0 But even when she snapped at him a couple of times, he just wagged his tail and continued to ask to her to play.�%A0 He hasn't really met any children yet, but he's walked by them with no problem.�%A0 We don't know how he is with cats. He's apparently had NO obedience training.�%A0 I've started teaching him Sit and will work on his other commands as long as we have him. Rocket is an amazing dog who will fit into any home who is active and is looking for a new family member.
