Reason for being in rescue: Found as a stray, sc shelter Special Needs: none noted What kind of home would be best for me: Holmes would love to be a family dog that can offer her physical activity and attention. What is my personality like: Holmes is your typical fun loving puppy. Even though she is young and playful, she is still even tempered and gentle. She loves attention, and she thinks that Beagles can be lap dogs too! Her favorite things to do besides getting attention is playing fetch and going on walks. At first, she may bark if she doesn't know you and you approach her but that quickly goes away when you talk to her and offer her treats or affection. Holmes does wonderful with other dogs and loves to play with them! When tested with a cat, the cat reacted and Holmes ignored him and went looking for another adventure. Holmes is a little nosey and curious, if there are things around that she is not familiar with you can bet she is going to figure it out! Holmes has not been tried with children, but we think her personality could mesh well with a beagle loving kid! How do I act when I first meet new people: Friendly, may bark at first but adjusts quickly. Tips and Tidbits: Holmes does not know any basic commands but is highly treat motivated and can learn. House trained: Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule as long as a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained. A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule.
