About Leroy

This is Leroy Brown. He is a 4/5yr old pit bull (although the shelter I got him from did say they think he had Cattle Dog mixed in there too). He is a constant and loyal companion...all he wants in life is to cuddle or to follow you around the house. He's hands down the most affectionate animal I've ever had the pleasure of knowing. He also may be the laziest. Leroy is well crate trained and hops right in the moment you reach for his Kong toy. I have never had a problem with him being in there during our work days. He has always seemed content with it and I never felt worried about him while at work. He is also completely house broken and is content with however many times a day you feel like taking him out. He rides wonderfully in a car and has been on quite a few 8+ hours rides. He is a very good guard dog and will definitely alert you to someone coming near the door. He has been fine around other dogs of all kinds...he's even lived with a 10lb female chihuahua for half of his life and let her be the alpha dog. He's extremely patient with other dogs. The only dog he has ever had a problem with was an unneutered pit bull (and to be fair the dog was on Leroy's territory and growled at him). Leroy is about 55lbs and is fairly short (about knee height on me and I'm 5'5'). He is neutered and vaccinated. Heart worm negative and takes his monthly preventative. All of his belongings would of course be his to take. Words cannot express the void I will feel with him not around. If you need an excellent companion dog who wants nothing more than to be glued to your side, this dog will fill your heart. Only downsides: young kids make him nervous and he's iffy with cats (hes been attacked by about three different stray cats on separate occasions).
