About Opal

Opal was rescued off the streets from the beautiful Island of Aruba and brought to the states for a better life. She is very sweet and loves cuddles and belly rubs! She enjoys the company of the other dog and cats in her foster home. She is a bit shy so would do better in a home with no or older children over 8 as she gets started by loud noises and sudden movements. Opal needs a family willing to work with her to build up her self confidence and show her she can now trust humans! She is doing wonderful with potty training and crate training. Opal is an Aruban Cunucu dog; known to be athletic, courageous, intelligent and very loving! She will do well with an active single or family who would like a dog they can take on their adventures and outdoor activities. She would also benefit from puppy classes and lots of socialization. Applications are not first come, first serve. All applications will be reviewed by the adoption committee and the home chosen will be considered the best match.
