About Piper

Piper is a real sweetie, but is extremely territorial over her human momma. She tends to act out against her human brothers if they get to close to human momma and will nip and bite them. Piper would do well with a family without small kids. My boys are 2 and 9, and I worry about the safety of the 2yo. She tends to herd and bite them when they play in the yard. She seems to be nervous around them. Piper is a snuggle bug - a complete lap dog, she loves her toys, she's potty trained and needs to be walked often. She's been through training and responds to sit, stay, etc. She is free fed, and she will chew if toys are not available! She is on no special diet, but fed the same food from the time she came home. Piper is crate trained, but I would not trust her outside of the crate without supervision yet. She knows her name, she's chipped, and she needs a fenced in yard. It's a sad moment to let her go, she's a wonderful dog, it's simply because she bites my son. When we rescued her, we were told she was beagle and cattle dog, the vet assures me she is JRT and beagle mixed.
