About Gowan

He's been great with my other rescue, but I got married in June and he's not getting along with my husband's french bulldog. I'm also pregnant now and we sadly have to realize that we will not be able to manage him once the baby comes. I'm looking for a home that will be loving, kind, & safe for him. He needs owners who can be active with him & who love to pet and cuddle. Gowan is a very sweet boy who acts goofy & loves to snuggle on the couch or the bed (if he's allowed). I've been working with a trainer for about a year. We have focused on basic training skills to follow commands & his behavior. Gowan does tend to get aggressive with other non-dominate dogs. This is a real concern. If he is going to be introduced to new dogs a gradual and careful approach should be used. It's been very odd what dogs he will be kind and aggressive to. He will bark very aggressively to dogs we pass on walks. This decision to re-home Gowan has been one of the hardest I've ever had to make and I'm completely heartbroken over this situation. As I get further in this pregnancy I will not be able to walk him anymore. Gowan has been around children & been fine but I would keep close watch on any dog around children. Gowan has been good meeting new people. I used to operate an airbnb from my home and Gowan was always the star of the show with my guests. However, he will bark at people walking by the fence, the mailman, some people we pass when walking, etc. He's been neutered, he has a chip, he has all his current vaccines.
