About Blondie

Meet beautiful Blondie! She is a darling dachshund mix! Her eyes are an incredible amber color and will mesmerize you! She is a little over a year old and an absolute sweetheart! She has been with us for several months because we thought she came in pregnant but it has now been confirmed that this poor baby was having a false pregnancy. Luckily no babies for her though! Blondie has had all of her vetting now and is heartworm negative. She weighs about 11 pounds and has the dachshund demeanor! She loves to play with all of her foster siblings in the yard. Blondie gets along with all size dogs and loves children too. If there are squirrels around they better beware though! She has not been cat tested but given that she likes to chase squirrels, she'd probably do the same with cats! Blondie would like to have a yard to run in but isn't a requirement. She is average energy for her age but absolutely loves all the attention she can get. She is a snuggle bug and loves to sleep with you but will sleep in her bed without a fuss if needed. Blondie is doggie door trained but has been known to have a few accidents. She is working on that! If you don't have a dog door and she can't get out independently, she would need to be on a regular schedule to go outside. She was brought to the shelter as a stray so we know very little about her past life. We do know that she will make someone a fabulous companion though! Now she just needs to find her new family!
