About Ryan

Meet our resident romeo, Ryan! He is a 3 year old cream Chihuahua who weighs about 14 pounds. Ryan was one of 6 dogs that came to us from the Panama City area after being found as a stray following Hurricane Michael. He is a ladies man and loves to be around the girls, but he gets on well with all dogs as well as cats. He has not been tested with kids. He has wonderful manners when eating! He not only eats what he is given but he doesn't spill any on the floor around his dish either! None of that taking bits out of the bowl to inspect more closely on the floor and maybe come back to later! He is a very companionable dog and while he's not really interested in sitting in your lap, he likes to be close by and will curl up at your feet when resting. He isn't fully housebroken as he will mark in the house if not watched. We manage this by keeping a belly band on him when inside to control that behaviour and help him learn what is appropriate. Ryan loves to go out walking and does well on a leash. He also enjoys riding in the car and his favorite thing to do is stick his nose out of the window as you are driving along! If you are looking for a loyal companion that likes to be with you, but not on you, and enjoys long walks at any time of day, look no further than Ryan.
