About Heidi

Meet this cutie pie!! Her name is Heidi and she is a 22 week old Chiweenie (Chihuahua/Dachshund Mix) who weighs a mighty 5.6 pounds! She was owner surrendered as her previous owners felt she was not getting enough attention. They had a new baby that was having medical problems and they felt they could not properly care for the puppy as well. That's where we come in. We have gotten little Heidi her puppy shots, gotten her microchipped with a lifetime registration and scheduled her to be spayed at our vet. The spay procedure is included in her adoption fee as long as the adopter follows through and uses our set appointments and our veterinarian. Heidi is a little wiggle worm who loves other dogs her size. She is very playful and would love another dog to romp around with. Being a puppy, she needs time to get used to going outside. She was not able to do that before because she was not up to date on her shots until she got to us. A home with a fence would be best so that she can run around in safety, but is not required for adoption. She has not been leash-trained yet and is still working on potty training. Heidi is inquisitive when it comes to cats and we believe she would do well in a home with cats that are dog-friendly as she has not shown any chasing tendencies as of yet. Due to her small size she would do best in a home with no larger dogs and very small children would not be a good fit. Heidi loves to follow her people around and wiggle between your legs while you're walking, but her favorite spot of all time is next to you on the couch. At night, she loves sleeping with her person and has gotten the handle of doggy steps to get on and off the bed.
