About Anemone

OUT OF STATE ADOPTIONS: We do allow out-of-state adoptions for ADULT dogs, however, the adopter MUST come to Houston to get the dog and take the dog home with them. We do not allow our dogs to be shipped. Also, our puppies can only be adopted to the immediate Houston vicinity as it takes 4 months to get them completely vetted at our vet here in Houston. We will not allow our dogs/puppies to be adopted out of the area without being spayed/neutered. We spay/neuter puppies at 4 months old. Hi everyone! I'm Anemone. Kind of a funny name, right? It's a flower's name and I'm told I'm beautiful like an anemone myself. She calls me Nemmie for short. I get along well with small dogs and also big dogs, and I like kids too. I have a big heart and warm up quickly to everyone I meet. Don't let my size fool you, I'm sweet but sassy well beyond my size! I like being in the middle of the action, whether that is running around with my foster sibling, taking turns playing with our toys or my favorite: in someone's arms! It's go, go, go during the day, so I'm pretty happy to sleep all night long in my crate, though I really like sleeping on the big bed too with my people. I'm trying really hard to remember to go potty outside. My foster momma thinks I'll pick up this potty training thing in no time. I'm already holding my business thought the night, like a big girl. She is also very impressed with my jumps - I can jump several times my height and do it with my four legs at once! She says I bring joy to everyone I meet. So if you want to feel joy, hurry up and meet me at the adoption center this weekend! Anemone is a female Terrier mix. She currently weighs about 9 pounds and we estimate that she was born around August 18, 2018. PUPPIES: Young puppies that have not had their second round of puppy shots will not be at the Adoption Center for our weekend adoption events. If your application is approved, a meeting can be arranged. Also, we only adopt young puppies locally due to the 4 month time frame it takes to get them fully vetted and altered. SPAY/NEUTER: As we believe proper healthcare of one's pet is a requirement of good ownership K-9 Angels Rescue only adopts out dogs that have been fully vetted. If the dog being adopted is not already altered at the time of their adoption, the dog will be altered within 2 weeks of adoption at our vet at our cost, with the exception of puppies which will be altered as soon as the puppy is ready.
