About Toffee (& Courtney)

Toffee & Courtney are a darling bonded pair of girls who are looking for the perfect, loving forever home together. Toffee is the fluffy 7 year old maltipoo and Courtney is the scruffy 2 year old cairn terrier mix. Toffee and Courtney were both rescued from kill shelters in the Phoenix area for being shy and fearful when meeting new people, but together they have learned to trust people and love each other dearly. Toffee and Courtney will need a patient and very loving family who will give them unconditional love and allow them to come around on their own time. They love to play with toys of all kinds, but can sometimes be naughty and tear stuffing out of their stuffed toys, so they do best with ropes, balls and chew toys. Toffee is a silly girl at dinner time and will often drag her food bowl over and up into her bed and eat in bed. Courtney will come over and very gently stand up against your leg when she is ready for affection. They will both need some time and training before they adjust to walking on a leash, but are much more confident with each other around and will learn quickly once they are settled and comfortable in their new forever home. They would do best in a home with only mature, older children who understand that they need time and space and may not want to be picked up for a while. Toffee is hypoallergenic and will need regular professional grooming. Toffee weighs in at about 10 pounds full grown. Courtney weighs in at about 7 pounds full grown. Both girls are spayed, up to date on shots, microchipped and vet checked. Their adoption fee together as a pair is $500 which includes a free vet visit and 30 days of pet insurance for each dog. To meet the girls, come to our shelter location 1102 W Hatcher Rd open Tuesday to Sunday 11am to 6pm. Call on the weekends for location as we have off sight adoption events that many of our dogs attend.
