About Flynn & Tesla

Ragdoll Rescue San Marcos, TX 78666 Hello Cat Lovers! Our names are Flynn and Tesla. My brother, Tesla (a half ragdoll Silver & Brown Tabby), and I, Flynn (a purebred Cream Point Lynx Mitted Ragdoll), are in need of a loving, FOREVER home. My People Parents have recently experienced some major life changes. They are struggling so hard to make sure all of us fur-babies are well cared for, but realize we may be happier in a home that has more time and attention to give us. While they take good care of us and our physical needs, we need and deserve more than just physical care. We would love to live in a home where we are loved on and played with like we used to be. We share our home with a loving and energetic corgi who loves us very much, and us him, but he often grooms us too much and pulls out our fur by accident. He also shreds our toys no matter how many times mom tells him to leave them, so we can only play with our toys in the guest bedroom. Being a herding dog, he follows us around for our 'safety' but he doesn't understand our play so he hops in the middle and disrupts us every time we start. We are too loving and gentle to ask him to stop, so we just let him boss us around. More about Us: We are 6 years old, born 10 days apart. We have lived our whole lives together and would like to keep it that way. I, Flynn, weigh about 15 lb and Tesla weighs about 13 lb. We are healthy, up to date on our vaccines, and mom has kept meticulous health records for each of us. We have our claws (though we never use them on anything other than scratching posts), and cannot make babies. We are also microchipped. We are not picky eaters! Mom taught us not to pick at our food, so we eagerly eat our meals. We are fed a species appropriate diet of raw meat, with a little spoonful of various high quality canned food flavors to keep things interesting! She also adds in some water to make sure we are always hydrated. We are litterbox trained and have great potty habits - mom says we go like clockwork! I, Flynn, have papers and can be registered if there is no timeframe or cutoff date. My parents saw no reason to register me, as I was not to be used for breeding. We love kind and gentle children and other animals - we get along with (and will love) everyone. I like to be picked up and put over a shoulder, which turns me into a huge floppy purring ball of fur. Honestly, just about anything you do will turn me into a huge floppy purr-ball. Mom says I am the perfect example of a Ragdoll. Tesla also loves to be pet and held, though he can get startled sometimes, which makes him want to jump away. I am never scared, and just take things as them come - I let my mom vacuum me, and will turn on the Roomba for a ride! My mom can even shave me with electric trimmers in the summer time to help me stay cool without much of a fuss. We are both good at taking baths (we don't love it, mind you, but we are gentlemen) and love being groomed. Tesla needs no grooming - his coat always looks like beautiful swirled marble. My fluffy coat does not need a lot of care; just a few brushes a week will keep it in line. I love getting groomed, so I am always ready for you to brush me. My mom describes it as 'baby bunny fur.' We love the catnip stuffed crinkle fish and balls with the beautiful feathers and the wobbly toy that treats fall out of. We both have nice, deep purrs that heal bones, and we love to be pet all over! We have no sensitive spots that other cat have (they are seriously missing out). We just love love and are always up for more of it! We have never shown any violence towards people. If you annoy us we will simply find somewhere else to be. We usually come when our names are called, and are often more 'dog-like' than 'cat-like' according to everyone that meets us. We are very curious and want to be in the middle of everything you do. We would do best in a home where we are the main attraction, but could be ok with a quiet, calm dog that respects our boundaries and likes to play. My mom is an opera singer, so we are used to loud noises, but are not accustomed to chaotic environments, screaming children, or quarreling. We are indoor only kitties, and are too docile to be left outside. Our adoption fee is $1,000.00 for both of us (and all our fancy stuff).
