About Marcos

Marcos is a beautiful buff colored Maine Coon mix. He was born in February 2011. Both he and his lovely sister Ramona were rescued by his current owner from a shelter. Because of upcoming changes in the current owner's life, our rescue organization was contacted to help find this bonded lovely pair of cats a new home. Marcos is very brave, curious, and likes to explore new places. He really likes to be around people as they are doing stuff. He will come sit or lay down near you as you go about your business. He likes to be petted but only for a little while and then he likes some time to chill out on his own. He does not enjoy being picked up for too long but he will let you pick him up, pet him, and then fairly soon he will tell you it's time to put him down by meowing. Marcos only tolerates being groomed for a bit and he doesn't really enjoy having his nails trimmed (that's probably why the Burrito Wrap was invented for kitties that don't care to have their nails trimmed), or brushing him, or when you do something where you have to hold him for any length of time. While you are doing something to him he will be vocal about it. But he will tolerate you doing it and will come up to you afterwards to rub up against you as if to say 'Thank you for doing that even though I don't really like it.' Marcos current owner describes both him and Ramona as awesome kitties with super chill personalities. Please note that Marcos and his sister Ramona are a bonded pair and need to be adopted together. Marcos needs to remain on a quality grain free wet food diet, which is very important for all cats to provide them with proper hydration and to prevent urinary issues. He is litterbox perfect and will have a recent vet checkup.
