About Jasper

Hello, my name is Jasper! I'm an 8-year-old, 9-lb, male Yorkie mix who is looking for his forever home. I've been told that I'm a special boy because I have a heart murmur. You would never know it as I just trot around with the other dogs being part of the pack here at my foster home. Still, my heart murmur is severe and I may need medication in the future. I came into Puppy Pals Rescue through the Greene County shelter. Due to my condition, they asked if PPR would provide my grooming and medical needs. I was pulled from the shelter and taken to Beavercreek... Puppy Pals came to my rescue! It wasn't looking too promising for me at the shelter, but now I have an opportunity for a new home. Since arriving at PPR, they have provided all my medical needs. All of my shots have been updated. I have been heartworm and fecal tested (results negative), neutered, and micro-chipped. The vet recommended a dental because of some extremely infected teeth which weren't going to help my heart condition. I was provided a dental and had five extractions. I get along with all the dogs here in my foster home. I'm not one who is going to play with a bunch of toys - I will pick one up once in a while. I'm more of a cuddle-buddy. I like to be loved on and lay in your lap. I am housebroken but I will need to learn a new routine once I find my forever home. I feel like I would be an awesome dog for the right person. I'm a very sweet little fella who would be a great travel companion. I seem to do okay in the car and enjoy going to Meet and Greet events. My ideal home would be with a single person or a retired couple who might be home all day. I will stay in a crate if you have to work. I'm not particularly the best dog for a young family who has children - I'm looking for a quiet home. If you might be that home, please don't hesitate to complete an application for me!
