About Vera

We got this sweet girl in August from a farm near Grand Junction. They are extremely difficult to find near Denver and make amazing companions. Anyone who get to know these buns know they are wonderful! Sadly I am too allergic to her fur and after months of trying to get the allergy under control it is clear my health is suffering and we cannot keep her. Her name is Vera. She is 7 months old, 15.4 lbs and beautiful. She is 3/4 Flemish and 1/4 continental which means she will easily be 20lbs full grown. She is used to living indoors and therefore not acclimated to be in an outdoor hutch this winter. She uses a litter box, full of hay but needs a big one, as she likes to cover up her mess. She loves kale, carrots, cilantro, bananas and pumpkin seeds. These are not low maintenance buns. They require lots of love, attention, cleaning and lots of food and water. They are like taking care of a dog. If you are not familiar with large breed bunnies, you would do well to look into it, before replying. I can send her with some food, her enclosure, litterbox (with fresh bedding) and lots of guidance if you need it. I will be making sure she goes to a good family. My heart is broken that I can't keep her.
