[Read About Natural Cancer Care] Forever Fospice Home Needed Meet Wink! Wink joined us in June from Chicago Animal Care and Control. At the time we had no clue that this full of life, sweet gal was full of cancer. We were utterly heartbroken after some tumors were found during her spay surgery and later confirmed it was cancer. We were given a timeframe of could be 4-6 months or a year left. No one is sure. What we do know is we would love Wink to experience a home life, but there are specific requirements that need to be met. In Wink's forever foster home we want someone who is home often and will spend lots of time with Wink. We want her to experience as many things as possible with whatever time she has left. Although Wink has cancer she is still very much full of life. We want her to be spoiled and have as many adventures as possible. To name a few things she has been to Michigan Lake, experienced Taco Tuesday, treated to a pup cup (ice cream) and taken on hikes at local parks. She loves the outdoors and loves the water. Wink does great with dogs of all sizes, but is best with older dogs. She doesn't play, has zero clue how to play with other dogs. What she likes to do is cuddle with dogs and people. We cannot have her going into a home with dogs that play rough as it would be too much of a risk of her getting hurt. Wink's immune system is very weak from the cancer and any injury could cause the cancer to take over completely. So no rough housing pups for her. Calm, gentle dogs would be best. Ideally we would like her in a home with no more than 2 other dogs as we also don't want her getting lost in the shuffle Wink has a very specific diet that needs to be followed. We are fighting cancer any way we can, and her diet is one of those ways. She also has her daily meds and supplements which will need to be continued. We need someone who will keep her daily schedule of feedings/meds/supplements. Wink's food will be supplied weekly and foster needs to be willing to come to the Sanctuary or meet halfway to pickup. Another requirement is Wink's forever foster needs to stay in constant contact with us and provide updates. Wink is a very special girl and means the world to all of us, so be prepared if we check in daily or every other day to see how she is doing. Wink's foster needs to also be able to take her to our vet in Huntington, IN for her appointments. We know this is a lot to ask for, but Wink is worth it. If you are able to open your heart and home to Wink and provide for her, and help kick cancer's ass as long as possible, then please submit an adoption application form. Interested in this dog/cat? Please complete an adoption form from our website www.animalhousesanctuary.org and email to [email protected]. If you have any questions you can e-mail us at [email protected].
