Kayla is a sweet little girl who nearly died in a high kill shelter. She got lost from her family and waited for them to save her. No one ever came. Kayla was so frightened, that she cowered in the back of the cage, which isn't the best way to get adopted. Add to it that it's harder for black dogs to get adopted and you have a recipe for tragedy! When we heard that Kayla was put on the euthanasia list, we knew we could let her die! She is now safely in one of our foster homes, and she is thriving! She gets along well with her foster siblings, and is well behaved. Kayla can be a little shy initially, but warms up very quickly. Considering all that she's been through, she has a happy, sweet and loving personality. She'd make a loyal companion to just about everyone. Kayla isn't barky or hyper the way some small dogs can be. She is healthy, about 2 yrs old and weighs just 10 lbs. Kayla is spayed, fully vaccinated including rabies and microchipped.
