About Rye Rye

Rye Rye Female - short coat - Orange Tabby - w/orange eyes - age = 10 2/2 years Rye Rye - was originally sprung by me from ACC on the day she was to be euthanized. She was originally seized by ASPCA from an adopter in the Bronx. She came to me with an Upper Respiratory Infection, emaciated, an infection and saws in her mouth and a previously broken paw that was too late to correct. She was categorized by ACC as a 'New Hope only' cat as she came from a ruff background and was very aggressive. Obviously, looks like she was abused and they even broke her paw! I have had her quite a while and she has come a long way. Rye Rye is easy to love, she is very endearing, she says hi by saying her name. She soaks up love and attention...at times flipping over for you and shows her belly. However, due to her past abuse, she is always watching your hands for fear of being hit! So, when you are around her - an idle hand isn't safe as she has been known to bite it. Rye Rye has recently become over weight as I believe that she is over eating due to 'free feeding', too many other cats here and her past emaciated condition. Therefore, it would be best that she be fed only twice a day (with quality food) on a schedule. Rye Rye also loves her water! I am letting her go with a very heavy heart as I really want more for her then I'm, recently, able to provide her. I wish and I pray - for an experienced cat person with lots of love and patience to give her for the rest of her life! She deserves this and more! Rye Rye is not to go to a busy home and no home with children of any age.
