About Beckett

The very first thing our rescuer noticed about Beckett were his gorgeous eyes in the dim shelter light. She stared at Beckett for a bit and saw all the wonderful possibilities in this beautiful Terrier mix... underneath the shelter matts and filth is a sweet and loving guy that will be a great addition to any loving, respectful home. Beckett immediately made it clear that he's a LOVE! His adorable little nose sniffed shyly through the bars at an outstretched hand...and then an ear to ear smile. Beckett was brought out of his cage.. and before you know it, he was in our rescuer's lap. He was shy and a bit frightened due to his scary shelter experience.. but was so happy for the hugs and sense of safety. This 6.5 year old (an almost perfect age..old enough to be past babyish behaviors and young enough to have many, many healthy and active years ahead) and 25 lb cutie-pie (a great size for long hikes and then snuggling close all night long) truly lights up when he feels like he's done a good job...some serious belly rubs and kind words will send him over the moon. Beckett wants to be a people dog...with a bit of post-shelter confidence and love, he will be overjoyed that he's finally found his forever family. We are searching for a very loving and involved family for Beckett. This sensitive guy wouldn't be happy being alone for the long hours of a full-time job. A family that works part-time or from home would be perfect for this wonderful companion. Active retirees would also be an excellent match for this guy that has so much love to give as a full time best friend. Beckett would be a perfect addition to a dog-friendly workplace. You can count on the fact that he will greet everyone with a wagging tail and an ear to ear smile. Beckett doesn't discriminate..he has a happy greeting for kids, adults and other dogs. He is a well behaved and very respectful guy who has the kind and engaging energy that everyone falls in love with. Beckett can initially have moments of shyness from the turmoil that has been in his life...a guardian who is present and full of good intention can readily get this great guy past any insecure feelings and let him know he is loved and will never be abandoned again. Beckett is a very respectful pup, both in his relationships and in his home. He's completely housetrained (an accident is beneath his dignity) and would never consider chewing or being destructive. We are seeking the same level of respect to be given back to this wonderful dog. Beckett is a non-shedding pup that would be an excellent addition to the home of those with allergy concerns. He therefore will require a commitment to periodic grooming and excellent nutrition (a daily salmon oil supplement is recommended for longevity and coat care). Through this regimen, Beckett's coat will be healthy, cottony-soft and matt-free. Beckett will be arriving on transport in Denver on Wednesday 11/7/18.
