About Hero

Meet Hero, he is a 5 year old Spaniel Mixed with Corgi or maybe even Doxie because he has short legs with a long body. He could also be mixed with a Sussex Spaniel. He's a medium sized mutt dog who weighs about 19 pounds. He was born with a slight cleft palate and had to be bottle fed but he is a survivor who showed much determination to thrive hence we saw him as a 'Hero'. He has no issues now at his age and eats and drinks normally. He is curious about the world and loves to explore, he has a playful side and loves to chase tennis balls. He needs help in more socialization with other dogs. Not good with cats and not recommended to be around small children. Their quick movements can make him nervous and scared. With patience and consistent socialization training this can be taken care of. He is adaptable, a quick learner and obedient especially when with the right person who he trusts, is sweet and offers positive reinforcement to him. He is house trained and will be up to date on his shots. Hero says: 'I am curious about the world and love to explore. My ideal life would be someone with an active lifestyle who can take me for walks, hikes, and adventures to blow off steam. I have an energetic side who loves to play catch and run around. I also have a shy side and I can get nervous when meeting new people and dogs, but when I warm up to you I am loyal and will never want to leave your side. I need some more socialization training and getting out and about more especially around other dogs. With the right attitude and patience I am sure this can be done. I am ready for my forever home with the love of my forever best friend!'
