About Babs

STATISTICS Age: approx 9 months Nov 4, 2018 Gender: Female, spayed Breed: mixed Color: lt gray Weight: 5 lbs Bio: Babs has never bitten but I've taken care to be respectful of her space. She is litter box trained. I am looking for a new home for her because after 9 months of effort I'm unable to bring the destruction under control and have had to confine her to an exercise pen. She does not seem to enjoy the company of myself or my Cocker Spaniel. He almost never bothers her. Occasionally he tries to play with her but she seems uninterested and annoyed. She does not engage either of us in play and seems to be bothered by our presence through displays of territorial aggression whenever we enter the room. As you might imagine it has worsened since I've confined her to an exercise pen. I have bunny proofed the house but she continues to destroy sheet rock, window sills, clothing, bedding (mine) and furniture, alluding my efforts toward prevention through barriers or the discipline I've administered with a squirt bottle. Additionally, I've supplied her with many toys of varying materials. She may use them but she won't chew on them exclusively. I am moving to a small apartment in a high rise and am uninterested in confining her in order to keep her but I would have to confine her as it is completely impermissible to allow any destruction in the new building. But more importantly I don't wish to keep a confined rabbit because I want her to be happy. She is not happy currently so I can't imagine she would be happy once I move. I do not wish to add an additional rabbit to the mix in an attempt to make it work for many reasons but most of all I worry that I will have 2 problems on my hands instead of just 1. It is my thinking that a more experienced owner might find value in her as a companion for themselves or another pet rabbit. Any help or advice would be appreciated.
